Former Strictly Come Dancing star Artem Chigvintsev has been arrested on suspicion of domestic violence, it has been claimed.
The professional dancer, who currently competes on Dancing With The Stars in the US, was reportedly taken into custody this morning, while in Napa, California.
Details surrounding the 42-year-old’s arrest are currently unclear, but TMZ reports that he was booked into the Napa County Jail on a felony domestic charge.
According to the public booking report, he was booked at around 9.59 this morning, and bail was set at $25,000.
Artem has not addressed the reports publicly but his wife, WWE star Nikki Bella, was also in the area and shared an Instagram story promoting a facial she got at her ‘spot in downtown Napa’ on Wednesday.

The couple started dating after they were paired up on season 25 of Dancing with the Stars, at the end of 2017, and share four-year-old son Matteo.
Artem and Nikki announced their engagement two years later and went on to tie the knot in August, 2022 – they celebrated their two year wedding anniversary with loved-up posts on social media.
‘Happy anniversary my love , can’t see my life with out you,’ the dad-of-one posted on Instagram beside snaps from their wedding day. ‘You are my everything.’
Sharing lyrics from Haley Reinhart’s Can’t Help Falling In Love, Nikki added on her own page: ‘This song is our love story.
‘I’ll never forget where I was when I asked Jesus about Artem. Having a conversation with He & God. How my feelings felt too soon. It all felt too fast.
‘And then this song came on. And that’s when I knew that I was falling in love with him and that it was all meant to be. Happy Anniversary @theartemc I love you!’
Artem shot to fame after joining Strictly Come Dancing in 2010, and was paired with former girlfriend Kara Tointon on his first season – they went on to win the competition.
After leaving the BBC series in 2013, he began his Dancing with the Stars career and has partnered with Lea Thompson, Patti LaBelle, and Mischa Barton over the years.
He won the competition with Kaitlyn Bristow in season 29 and made it to the final for season 32 alongside Charity Lawson last year, before ending the competition in fourth place.
Variety reports that he was confirmed to not be a part of the season 33 cast – which will be announced next month.
