BLUEFIELD, W.Va. – One person was taken to the hospital after a single-vehicle crash in Mercer County.
Corporal M. Lacy with the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department said the accident happened at 102 Falls Mills Road at around 4pm. A man was driving towards Pocahontas when he crossed the lane and crashed into a large rock, according to Lacy.
Lacy said the man was stuck in the vehicle, and it took around 20-30 minutes to get the man out of the truck using the Jaws of Life.
The man was taken to WVU Medicine Princeton Community Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
