LOS ANGELES (CNN) – Carl Weathers enjoyed a storied Hollywood career and on Thursday he was honored posthumously with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Weathers is known for his roles as Apollo Creed in the “Rocky” films to Greef Karga in “The Mandalorian.”

He was one of the most diverse actors in Hollywood who also directed television shows and was writing several projects at the time of his death.

Weathers died in February at 76 years old.

Out of the limelight, he owned a cattle ranch in Washington state where he won numerous awards for the cattle he developed.

And before all this, he played for the Oakland Raiders.

Current Las Vegas Raiders owner Mark Davis sponsored his Hollywood Walk of Fame star.
