Eleven members of rival Brooklyn gangs were charged in seven shootings — including the death of Shaheim Rogers — following a joint investigation by the Brooklyn DA’s office and the NYPD, Brooklyn DA Eric Gonzalez announced Thursday.

The defendants — seven members of the Stain Gang and four members of a rival crew, the Albany Gang — were charged in separate indictments with conspiracy to commit murder, weapons possession and related acts of violence.

The spat of wild shootings and targeted hits was the byproduct of a blood feud sparked when Albany Gang members killed Stain Gang member Tyquan Howard on May 12, 2020, Gonzalez said.

The gangs’ animosity culminated in Rogers’ murder on Aug. 10, 2023, when he was shot alongside fellow Stain Gang member Olujimi Lucas after defendant Ibrahima Barry and other Albany Gang members scoured Stain Gang territory in search of their rivals.

Prior to that, the gangs engaged in a tit-for-tat that left two wounded after an Albany Gang member shot a member of the rival crew in the gut and clipped an innocent bystander sitting outside Stain Gang headquarters on Sterling Place near Rochester Ave. on March 14, 2022.

After paramedics loaded the wounded Stain Gang member into an ambulance, fellow gang members headed to the Albany Houses on Troy Ave. seeking vengeance but managing only to put some bullet holes in a deli there, according to Gonzalez.

In another failed hit, Stain Gang member Jahrell Madison opened fire on Albany member Elija McDonald’s car on Sterling Place near Utica Ave. as he drove through his rival’s territory on July 29, 2021, prosecutors said.

The investigation was conducted by the District Attorney’s Violent Criminal Enterprises Bureau and the NYPD’s Brooklyn North Violent Crime Squad.
