(Gray News) – Ricky Pearsall of the NFL’s San Francisco 49ers was shot in San Francisco in a robbery attempt on Saturday, according to local media.
The shooting happened in Union Square. Pearsall is in stable condition, according to authorities.
The report was shared by NBC San Francisco and KGO, as well as the San Francisco Chronicle.
The suspect is in custody, according to NBC San Francisco.
Pearsall was picked in the first round by the 49ers, the 34th overall pick this year, ESPN said.
