The Austin Police Department is searching for a suspect after they said a person was shot on East Seventh Street and Red River Street.

AUSTIN, Texas — Austin police are searching for a suspect after an apparent road rage incident led to a shooting early Labor Day morning in Downtown Austin. 

According to an Austin Police Department (APD) officer on scene, two drivers began arguing at around 1 a.m. at the intersection of East Seventh Street and Red River Street.

The officer said a suspect shot the person they were arguing with before they fled the scene. 

The person who was shot is suffering non-severe injuries and police are continuing to look for the suspect.
