A 32-year-old motorcyclist has died following a fatal crash in East Kilbride.

The tragedy happened at around 3.20pm on Friday, August 30 in the College Milton Industrial Estate.

Police were called to Glenburn Road at its junction with Glenburn Way, following a crash involving a green Kawasaki motorbike.

Emergency services raced to the scene where the rider, a 32-year-old man, was pronounced dead a short time later.

Enquiries are ongoing and officers are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

Road Policing Officers are also asking for anyone with dashcam footage of the incident to get in touch.

Sergeant Chris Hoggans said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died at this very difficult time.

“Enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing and I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident and has not already spoken to officers to please contact us.

“I would also ask anyone who was driving in the area around that time who may have dash-cam to please review their footage and contact us if it holds anything relevant.”
