A cult fan-favourite is returning to Burger King – this time in a brand new sizzling hot flavour.

The fast food giant is adding five new items to its UK menu, including the Doritos Extra Flamin’ Hot Chicken Fries, which they say will ‘test the mettle of even the hardiest spice lovers’.

Dropping on September 3, fans will be able to get their hands on the new Chicken Fries from £5.29 (for six pieces) – but you’ll have to be quick, as they’re limited edition, and won’t be around for long.

The Doritos x KFC Chicken Fries callob has been around for a while. You can currently get your hands on Tangy Cheese Chicken Fries and last year, the restaurant chain launched a Chilli Heatwave variety, which hungry customers were convinced was a fake, due to the time of their launch.

Burger King wrote on X: ‘Everyone thought it was an April Fools but we’re not joking [they] are 100% REAL.’

Whatever the flavour, fans seem to love the iconic menu item. ‘The Dorito chicken fries from Burger King are elite,’ wrote X user, Conor Donovan, on the social media platform.

Both burgers are completed with fresh onions and rocket, all sandwiched between a fluffy brioche bun.

The Loaded Halloumi Fries offer customers tender strips of 100% Cypriot halloumi will be topped with tingly hot chilli sauce and finished off with crispy onions.

To celebrate the new menu additions, there’s a Buy One Get One Free deal until September 5, where hungry customers can buy one Smoky Chimichurri Angus or Crispy Chicken Burger and get another Gourmet Kings burger for free.

Burger King isn’t the only one shaking things up with its menu this week, as McDonald’s recently delighted fans by bringing the TikTok famous Grimace Shake to the UK.

But after being released in the UK for the first time ever just days ago, the limited edition menu item is already sold out, leaving fans feeling short-changed.

The Grimace Shake – launched to celebrate 50 years since the chain arrived on British shores – was originally supposed to be available from August 28 to September 3.

However, in an announcement on Instagram and Facebook, McDonald’s shared a picture of the iconic purple mascot with the caption ‘We sssoldd out the shake :(‘.
