AUSTIN, Texas — One person is dead after getting struck by a vehicle early Tuesday morning in Central Austin, according to first responders.
The Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services (ATCEMS) and the Austin Police Department (APD) responded to the incident at around 5:30 a.m. on the 900 block of Interstate Highway 35 northbound.
ATCEMS said an adult died on scene after getting hit by a vehicle, but no other information is available about the victim.
Traffic is being rerouted to Sixth Street, and drivers should expect delays until further notice.
