At least four people were wounded in several separate shootings on Interstate 5 in and around Seattle overnight Monday into Tuesday morning, police said.

A man suspected in all of the shootings was arrested early Tuesday morning at an apartment complex in Tacoma, south of the city, according to authorities. The suspect was not publicly identified.

None of the victims were identified either, though cops said a 20-year-old woman was in satisfactory condition at a local hospital, NBC affiliate KING 5 reported. Another female victim was in serious condition at an intensive care unit. The conditions of the other victims were not reported.

The first shooting happened around 8:30 p.m. in the south suburb of Federal Way, when one person was shot near the interchange between I-5 northbound and 320th Street, Washington State Police said on social media. Witnesses described the suspect vehicle as a white Volvo with California plates.

About 15 minutes later, a second shooting was reported at the downtown Seattle interchange between I-5 and I-90, according to state police.

One person was wounded in each of the first two shootings.

A third shooting was reported around 11 p.m. back in Federal Way at the interchange between I-5 southbound and Washington State Route 18, KING reported.

The final shooting was called in shortly afterward at I-5 and 54th Ave., farther south in the suburb of Fife, according to Washington State Police. The same white Volvo with California plates was spotted at the final two shootings, and injuries were reported at both.

After midnight, a deputy with the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department spotted the suspect vehicle pulling into an apartment complex in Tacoma, the department wrote on Facebook. Cops followed the vehicle and disabled it with spike strips.

The suspect surrendered to authorities without incident, according to bodycam video the sheriff’s department posted on Facebook.

Cops said a fifth shooting was reported at an intersection between I-5 and Martin Luther King Jr. Way, but it remained unclear Tuesday if the same suspect was responsible for that shooting.

Washington State Police scheduled a press conference for 2 p.m. local time.
