THE TWO VIRGINIAS – Congratulations are in order for several officers and deputies of the law who graduated from their respective law enforcement academies in the last week.
In West Virginia — Mercer County Sheriff’s Department sharing on socials that deputies — Lucas, Brooks and Presley graduated the Basic SWAT Operator’s class on August 30th, 2024 in Philippi, WV.
Meanwhile in the Commonwealth of Virginia for the town of Grundy VA, Officer Shaelynn Sutherland has graduated from Southwest Criminal Justice Training Academy. That graduation taking place on August 29th, 2024.
Prior to fulfilling her duties as a patrol officer, Sutherland moves onto her field training with Grundy Police Department’s field training officers.
Grundy, VA Police Department also adding on its socials, “we would also like to congratulate the other members of Class 124 on their hard work and dedication during the 20 weeks of training!”
