Two men have been arrested and charged after an on-duty officer was seriously injured in an incident involving a car in Hamilton.
Officers approached the vehicle on Low Waters Road around 1pm on Friday, August 30, in the course of a general patrol.
The vehicle then made off and was involved in a collision with one of the officers, a 33-year-old man.
Two men, aged, 30 and 56, have been arrested and charged in connection with the incident and are due to appear before Hamilton Sheriff Court on Wednesday, September 4,2024.
The injured officer remains in hospital for treatment.
