PRINCETON, W.Va. – The Cultural fest world music and arts festival is back this year in downtown Princeton in the Grassroots district.

Festivalgoers enjoy various activities, including yoga classes, storytelling sessions, hoop dancing, and immersive conversations, along with local and around the world music and dance performers.

The festival aims to provide a rich cultural experience, encouraging attendees to reflect on different perspectives and explore new ways of seeing the world.

Originating in Princeton City Park in 2004, the festival moved to Pipestem for a unique camping experience before returning to its roots in the heart of Princeton for the past 18 years.

Lori McKinnney, the event organizer, is thrilled to be back to where it all began.

“It’s really fitting that we’re coming back kind of to our roots back here in the middle of town and for the 21st annual to kind of share the experience with the public and making it all free this year.” McKinney said. “Hopefully, more people will have access and will be able to impact more people that may not have had this experience before.”

The festival continues through September 8.
