Spencer Matthews has a six pack quite literally forged by the gods, as fans spot the unmistakable face of Jesus Christ on his torso in a recent picture.
We’ve all heard of those instances when people find the face of Jesus in their greasy pizza box, burnt onto their toast or even in their bag of Aldi potatoes – but we haven’t seen holy abs before.
Enter former Made In Chelsea star Spencer, 36, who has just broken a world record and ran a mammoth 30 marathons in 30 days through the Jordanian desert. As you do.
Among the congratulations on social media – with fans calling him an inspiration – others were distracted that his new toned body is packing more than just muscle, but a godly omen.
Spencer’s fabulous wife Vogue Williams – who he married in 2018 – joined him in the blistering heat to run 5k of the challenge alongside him, and fans noticed the biblical face in a photo she posted of the pair posing together.
Vogue didn’t appear to notice – or if she did, she didn’t mention it – as she wrote in the caption of the image: ‘Couldn’t be prouder of my @spencermatthews an incredible achievement for an amazing cause.
‘I joined him for 5k today and it was HOT and there were rocks everywhere, solid ground nowhere to be seen! Impossible to many (especially me) but I always knew he would do it… well done Spenno.’
But fans noticed it alright, as Instagram user cliffelinda took to the comments section and wrote: ‘Is that a man’s face on his torso?’
‘It looks like Jesus,’ replied mai_bee_crafts, as patriciaaarr added: ‘I can’t unsee that now.’
A separate comment from healy5791 said: ‘I think I can see Jesus Christ on his abs.’
sineckbyrne agreed and said: ‘Spenny has the face of Jesus intertwined in his stomach muscles in that pic.’
Incase you still can’t see the face, two of Spencer’s abs look like a pair of eyes and his belly button resembles an open mouth, with the area around it looking very much like a beard.
Before starting his 1,266 kilometre journey, Spencer admitted that his wife Vogue had warned it could ‘kill him’.
The mammoth Great Desert Challenge has not been overlooked and now bookies have predicted Spencer is odds on to be named in the New Year Honours List.
However, Spencer is not so sure and told : ‘I can’t imagine there’s any truth to that whatsoever.’
He explained how the effort has ‘humbled’ him, adding: ‘Not having access to toilets or running water or cold water to drink [then] suddenly you come to a hotel and you’ve got freezing cold water and pizza on tap.
‘That’s not how a lot of the world lives. It’s an interesting time to reflect on how lucky we are.’
Through the Guinness World Record, Spencer raised over £500,000 for Global’s Make Some Noise charity, which helps people across the UK through bereavement, mental health struggles, illness and more.
