A Bronx man died after a gunman walked up to him and shot him in the head at point-blank range, according to police sources.
The victim was outside a Belmont Ave. apartment building near E. 176th St. in East Tremont when the gunman approached him and opened fire around 5 p.m., sources said.
Paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene, cops said.
The victim’s body was spotted at the scene beneath a white sheet soaked in blood beside two backpacks.
The shooter had braided hair, black clothes and a black bookbag, and fled on foot, according to sources.
No arrests have been made.
