ATLANTA (WANF/Gray News) – The father of the suspected shooter at a Georgia high school has been arrested.

According to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, Colin Gray, 54, the father of Colt Gray, has been charged with four counts of involuntary manslaughter, two counts of second-degree murder and eight counts of cruelty to children.

Colt Gray, 14, is accused of killing four people and hospitalizing several others in a shooting at Apalachee High School Wednesday.

The GBI has identified the students killed as 14-year-olds Mason Schermerhorn and Christian Angulo. They identified the teachers as Christina Irimie and Richard Aspinwall.

FBI officials believe Colt Gray made online threats to commit a school shooting in May 2023. At the time, the 13-year-old was interviewed alongside his father, who said there were hunting guns in the house.

According to arrest warrants, the four victims were killed by a semi-automatic AR-15-style rifle.
