The social lounge is shutting down nearly a year after opening.

AUSTIN, Texas — A Downtown Austin cocktail bar is shutting its doors for good.

On Thursday, Estelle’s social lounge posted a statement to social media announcing its permanent closure.

“We are heartbroken to share that Estelle’s has closed its doors and will not be reopening,” the post said, in part. “Thank you to our employees, partners, and guests who brought Estelle’s to life.”

The closing comes a little over a year after the bar originally opened on 400 Colorado St.

During its time in business, the colorful space included a bar, club and restaurant, along with a flower selection owned by small business floral shop Native Bloom.

Estelle’s welcomed everyday customers as well as private events, such as happy hours, bachelorette celebrations and baby showers.

The restaurant’s menu included everything from biscuits & pork belly gravy to the Yellowtail Crudo.

The building itself is located near the Highland Lounge night club, Cedar Street Courtyard live venue and Irish bar, The Pub.

It is currently unclear whether another business is set to take Estelle’s place or why the cocktail bar shut down.
