ATHENS, W.Va. – Concord University has formed a Presidential Search Committee and is asking for input on choosing a new leader to replace current President Dr Kendra Boggess, who is retiring after the end of this school year.

The search committee has scheduled a community listening session is for Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the Pais Fellowship Hall at University Point on campus.

Faculty, staff, students and the community are all invited to share their perspectives to help ensure the next leader understands and embodies the values and needs of the Concord community, the university announced.

Boggess has worked with Concord for 41 years and is the university’s first female president, serving in that role since 2014. Her retirement becomes effective in August 2025.

Issues related to a new president to be discussed include background, priorities, vision for the future and experience in fundraising and financial management.
