MCDOWELL COUNTY, W.Va. – Five individuals awoke Tuesday, September 10, 2024 arrested following an execution of a search warrant in the Sandy Huff area, near Iaeger, in McDowell County.
That search conducted by the Southern Regional Drug and Violent Task Force on Monday, September 9, 2024 at 2:30 PM.
Sheriff James Muncy of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office confirming in a statement the arrest are as follows:
- Steven Coleman drug delivery resulting in Death
- Amy Gibson Capias for unlawful possession
- James Coleman unlawful possession
- Rachel Gibson unlawful possession of meth and unlawful possession of [additional substances]
- Cynthia Payne no seat belt, driving suspended and possession of heroin.
A unknown quantity of illicit drugs and U.S. currency has also been seized.
All suspects are currently awaiting arraignment and bonds to be set.
