A teenage boy has been arrested and charged after an 18-year-old girl was allegedly raped in Fife.
Officers received a report of a serious sexual assault at Volunteers Green in Kirkcaldy late on Saturday night. We previously told how police launched an investigation into the alleged attack.
Cops have now confirmed a 17-year-old male has been arrested and charged in connection. He was released on an undertaking to appear in court on a later date.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A 17-year-old male has been arrested and charged in connection with the serious sexual assault of an 18-year-old woman in the Volunteers Green area of Kirkcaldy on Saturday evening.
“He was released on an undertaking to appear in court on a later date.”
