A town centre coffee shop is to be placed on the market.
The owners of Cafe Thyme, in Alloway Street, Ayr, announced their surprise plans to their 6,200 followers on social media.
A message read: “We are moving on. We did plan to be here for the long term, but unfortunately, due to our other business expanding, we can no longer commit the time needed for this little gem of a coffee shop.”
The announcement goes on: “We have loved our time in Ayr and have had fantastic feedback from customers, we’ve been amazed at times by how far people have travelled to visit us.
“We did consider taking Thyme with us (to North Ayrshire), but after speaking with locals and regulars, we all agreed that the shop is too much of an asset to the town centre!
“Business will continue as usual, for the top food and coffee in the town centre you know where we are. Just drop the page a message for more information on the sale.”
