Pizza isn’t one of those foods that microwaves well. In fact, if you’ve got any leftover you run the risk of it turning horrible and dry.
Thankfully though, there’s a way to prevent this problem. And hopefully, it should stop you from having to throw stale slices in the bin!
A foodie on TikTok has some advice for you. The lass, called Madi, recommends cooking one slice at a time.
To do this, use a sharp knife to cut through the pizza while it’s still frozen. You can then separate it into slices that can be cooked individually – either in the air fryer or oven for the perfect snack-sized portion.
In her video, Madi said: “You guys know you can just cut out a slice of pizza that’s frozen and then throw it in the air fryer, right?” While the tip is super simple, it still blew people’s minds.
One person said: “Pardon!? Mind blown.” While another questioned: “Why have I never thought of this?” Others did point out a problem though.
They joked there’s rarely an occasion where you’d need to cook a single slice of pizza. This is especially the case if you struggle with portion control as it is! Following the negativity, Madi returned to list off the occasions where the pizza hack would prove very useful.
She said: “Broke college students trying to stretch out how much food they have, someone who’s just looking for a quick lunch, it helps with small children and I’ve had a lot of people tell me this is going to be really useful for that, and really just those that are looking to not have a heart attack by the time they’re in their 30s.”
Following the second clip, people sprang to Madi’s defence and said they’d be trying the handy method out themselves.
One person said: “I eat like two slices, this would be bomb. Definitely doing it next time.” While someone else shared another possible use, stating: “Teenagers who don’t want to use the oven and are air fryer experts!”
