A man visiting an Upper East Side apartment was killed in a knife fight that also left his host wounded, police said Monday.

Cops responding to a 911 call for an assault in progress found the visitor dead from trauma to the head and chest inside the apartment on E. 95th St. near Second Ave. about 1:30 p.m. Sunday, cops said.

The 27-year-old man who lives is the apartment had cuts all over his body. Medics took him to New York-Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell in serious but stable condition

Police said two knives were removed from the scene.

“They arranged to meet at the location, where a dispute occurred,” a police source said. “Both men sustained lacerations from the knives found at the scene.”

The identity of the dead victim is not yet known, police said. The city Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine how he died.

There were no immediate arrests as the investigation continues.
