Nick Knowles’ future on Strictly Come Dancing is uncertain after the BBC DIY celebrity ‘damaged’ his arm.
The 62-year-old presenter shared the update on Instagram while driving with his arm in a sling. He informed his followers about a mishap that occurred while he was changing a tyre, saying: “Good morning, here’s a little update from me at the start of week two @bbcstrictly rehearsals.”
“As you can see my arm is in a sling and that’s because my car broke down at the side of the motorway. I had my little boy in the car, so I wanted to change the tyre as quickly as possible. In the process of hurrying to get the wheel off, I managed to damage my shoulder and arm a little. I’m not sure how, but it’s been quite painful.”
He added that he was en route to Harley Street in London for a scan and some “top medical advice”, but planned to head to training afterwards.
He also confirmed he would see viewers on It Takes Two “later today”.
Promising to keep fans posted “throughout the course of the day”, Nick admitted his injury “was not ideal”. However, he concluded: “I’m convinced it’s not something that’s going to stop me dancing this weekend”.
Following Nick’s debut on Strictly on the weekend, show judge, Craig Revel Horwood, wasted no time in criticising his footwork.
Craig scolded the DIY SOS host, telling him to “sort that out” as he commented on his technique. Nick and his pro dance partner Luba Mushtuk performed a Jive to We Built This City by Starship.
