Police have launched an appeal for information, after a car was torched in Castlehill over the weekend.

Emergency services raced to Hawthornhill Road in the area in the early hours of Sunday (September 22) morning after receiving calls from residents.

They are now appealing for information with the incident being treated as one of wilful fire-raising.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Enquiries are ongoing and anyone who was in the area and noticed anything suspicious, or who may have private CCTV or dashcam footage of significance, is asked to get in touch.

“Anyone with information can contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident number 0617 of Sunday, 22 September, 2024. Alternatively you can speak to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
