There’s now just a few days left to get your entries in for this year’s Dalbeattie Hardrock Challenge.
This is the last chance to enter what will be the final Hardrock duathlon, at least in its original format with the original committee.
This will be the 20th and last Hardrock, taking place over the weekend of October 5 and 6, and organisers have advice for those who may be swithering about taking part.
Caution is needed on the bike section as the red route is technical in parts with an element of injury risk. Anyone who isn’t so proficient on technical ground is advised to get off and walk as time can be made up on the easier ground. Don’t let enthusiasm get the better of judgement and ability!
Over the past 20 years there have been few serious injuries and it is hoped this will be the case one more time. Both disciplines are fairly demanding on their own and doing both is a series endeavour requiring a good level of fitness for the majority.
Entries close at midnight on Sunday, September 29. To sign-up, visit www.sientries.co.uk/event.php?elid=Y&event_id=13336
