Bosses at a popular pub in Glasgow have been left fuming after a thief stole an art print from their toilet – straight from the frame.

Staff at the Thornwood pub, which is located on Dumbarton Road in the west end, described the theft as “weirdigan behaviour”.

As reported by Glasgow Live, they took to social media, and asked: “Who steals a print from a frame in a pub toilet while they’ve gone for a jobby?” The pub team exclaimed: “Pub life never ceases to amaze!”, as they shared a picture of their hastily put-together replacement explaining the theft.

They added: “Imagine sitting there, couple of pints in, great night, ‘ah my night won’t be complete without stealing this piece of art from a toilet cubicle’. Weirdigan behaviour. If it was you, we mock you. Your friends mock you, and your new print has got your poo-ey fingerprints on it.”

They did add, however, that they now have a ready-made spot for someone new, posting: “If you are an artist or a printist we have new found wall space.”

One of the pub’s fans responded, offering their own theory – they jokingly asked: “Were you out of toilet paper?”
