Laura Anderson has taken to Instagram to make a candid admission about life as a single mum as she told fans she’s finally realised you “can’t have it all”.

The 35-year-old Capital Scotland host is currently navigating her way through solo parenting her daughter Bonnie, who turned one earlier this month, while also working on her new found career as a radio presenter, which she landed earlier this year.

However, the former Love Island star appears to have come to a conclusion about her busy life as she told her 1.5M Instagram followers that it is ‘impossible’ to have everything.

Dressed in pyjamas and filming from her bed, Laura directly addressed her fans as she filmed herself saying: “Hey guys so I was just having a little think right, I used to totally be that person that would think you can have it all, the career, the family, the partner, like look your best but I’ve decided it’s impossible.”

The mum-of-one added: “You cannot have it all, especially as a single mum like there’s no way your boss, your family, your friends, your partner, your kids, your dog are all being fed like metaphorically speaking of course and I think if anyone tells you otherwise that they have all of that sorted then they’re lying.”

Speaking of her own focuses, she concluded: “So I think I’m choosing baby as my priority and housework of course.” Laura also acknowledged that she has in the past had “unrealistic expectations” of herself which she is currently working on improving.

She wrote in the caption: “My struggle juggle has definitely been amplified by unrealistic expectations. So I am currently lowering my expectations of myself.”

Love Island’s Laura Anderson claims Gary Lucy hasn’t seen their daughter for six months

Laura welcomed baby Bonnie last September with her ex-boyfriend Gary Lucy, who she met during their stint on Celebs Go Dating in 2022.

The pair split a year into their relationship before Bonnie was born, with Gary publicly announcing their break-up just one day after Laura’s pregnancy announcement.

Speaking about that time on Giovanna Fletcher’s Happy Mum Happy Baby podcast podcast, Laura revealed: “Gary’s announcement was not my choice. Yeah, we were already technically, I guess not together. But again, I sort of hoped that it wasn’t going to be that way.”

Opening up about life as a single mother, she previously admitted: “I’m doing my best, I’m kind of being mum and dad, and I’m sure it is more than enough. You know, everyone’s like, you’re enough, you’re enough, and I know that. But I hope in the future she can see her dad more; he would want to be more involved. It has been quite difficult.”
