A man has been charged following an alleged late-night “stabbing” in Glasgow.
Officers received a report of a serious assault on Leslie Street in the Pollokshields area of the city at around 11.05pm on Monday. Emergency services scrambled to the scene and cops quickly locked down the road.
Ambulance crews attended and a 39-year-old man was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment. His condition currently remains unknown.
Earlier we told how another man, also 39, had been arrested in connection with the incident. Officers have now confirmed that he has been charged and will appear at court at a later date.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A 39-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a serious assault on a 39-year-old man in Leslie Street, Pollokshields, Glasgow that we were called to around 11.05pm on Monday, September 23, 2024.
“The injured man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. The other man is due to appear in court at a later date.”
