As we gear up for the colder weather, there will be many of us that will be looking for ways to keep warm amidst rising energy costs.

For the past couple of years, shoppers have witnessed a rise in their heating bills. Which is exactly why many of them have been turning to the M&S Snuggle Heavyweight Heated Fleece Electric Hooded Blanket.

Hailed as a “game-changer” for the chillier season, it features an extra twist on the hooded blanket trend, as it boasts a heated element to keep you even warmer. Even better, it is on offer for 20 percent less, as it now costs £47.20, instead of £59.

Available in two neutral colours – grey and natural – the M&S Snuggle is a one-size fit’s all design that is ideal for snuggling into on cold days. It boasts the retailer’s ‘Ultra Warmth Rating’, which means that it has proven thermal qualities.

There are six different heat settings that you can choose from for the desired warmth, with an auto shut-off control that kicks in after three hours. According to M&S, it costs “less than 3p per hour” to run, based on October 2023 energy prices.

An “in demand” choice online, the M&S Snuggle Electric Hooded Blanket has rave reviews from shoppers who say that it is keeping them “so warm”, while also “saving money” at the same time.

Someone else gushed: “Recipient was delighted with this – it is keeping her warm and saving money as it runs on about a lightbulb’s worth of electricity.”

Another M&S fan wrote: “Lovely and warm, very soft, perfect for WFH on cold days. I only wish I looked slightly more professional in it!”

Someone else penned: “What a brilliant idea for the cold nights! A heat up fleece which is so cosy to wear. Love it.”

A few have criticised the design that means it has to be plugged into a wall, meaning you have to stay in one position. One review read: “A very warm and cosy item, but not ideal if you have to keep getting up and down to let dogs in and out.”
