Paddy McGuinness is poised to make a comeback on our TV screens with his fresh series, ‘Road Tripping’, where he divulges details of the ‘soul-searching’ quest hes been on over the last two years following his split from Christine McGuinness.

The upcoming travel show features Paddy cruising through Europe in a campervan with his Top Gear mate Chris Harris. The entertaining pair set out on a multitude of adventures aimed at staving off the march of time, all the while pursuing the refined art of ageing gracefully.

Reflecting on the three-part series, Paddy divulged: “There are some moments where we both really do some soul searching and think about how we can make the most of the years ahead of us.”

In 2022, Paddy and Christine publicised their decision to divorce after more than ten years as a couple. But it appears Christine is pushing forward with her life; earlier in the year, she bubbled with joy, revealing she had started dating again and was experiencing the ‘happiest she’d ever been’.

Christine opened up saying: “I met them on my birthday through mutual friends and we’ve been dating since June. It’s someone I know. I wasn’t thinking anything at the time but we kept in touch and it’s so nice and laid back,” reports the Mirror.

A former guest on the Loose Women panel, Christine confided in the hosts, articulating her preference for a more private love life: “After having a relationship in the public eye for so long I’m not sure I want the relationship to be public. I’ve only ever known what it was like to have a relationship that’s in the public. This is nice.

“I’ve been really open and honest from the beginning about where I’m at and they’re ok with that. I feel like I’m in good company. I don’t get a lot of time to myself but when I do it’s lovely and we laugh loads.”

Ahead of the Sunday night premiere, Paddy shared: “We’re at a point in our lives where we want to make the most of our years ahead, so we try out as many experiences as we can to learn how some of the oldest and well-preserved people on the planet are doing it!”.

The upcoming series marks a new chapter for Paddy and Chris Harris on BBC, their first joint venture since the harrowing Top Gear incident in 2022 which severely injured fellow co-host Freddie Flintoff.

Paddy and Chris set off to discover the secrets of eternal youth. Throughout the series, their adventures take them through Sweden, Greece, and Switzerland, embracing even the most unconventional longevity practices with gusto.

“We’ve really tried to tap into both the traditional and modern methods of ‘living well’ that are adopted by each of the countries we visited,” reveals Paddy. “From Swedish saunas, to milking goats, rock climbing and even visiting a ‘Gentleman’s clinic’… you name it, we try it!”
