A woman has divulged a clever hack to eradicate fake tan blots from carpets. Generally, orange or bronze stains are an unwelcome sight on clothes or bed sheets, yet mishaps occur and the carpet isn’t always spared during personal grooming sessions.

Nurse and mother-of-four, Alice Bhella, who goes by the handle @alicexmayx on TikTok, frequently shares tips on lifestyle and parenting. Faced with a cleaning challenge earlier this year, she tackled an accidental spillage of her fake tan on the carpet, reports the Express.

While grappling with a stubborn brown stain left by Bondi Sands Aero Self Tanning Foam on her cream carpet, Alice posted a video captioned: “POV: you spill fake tan on a cream carpet but have a plan.”

Eschewing standard cleaning products, Alice showcased her unusual choice of St Moriz Professional Self Tan Remover Foam, normally used for stripping away old layers of fake tan from the body. She applied a liberal coating of the foam directly onto the spot, allowing it to absorb.

Subsequently, the once visible fake tan mark was completely gone from the carpet. Priced at a modest £4.99, St Moriz Professional Self Tan Remover Foam became part of Alice’s viral sensation.

Her helpful content has now attracted over 440,100 views, along with 12,400 likes and 26 comments. Admirers of fake tan commended Alice for her resourceful method, and a few also offered their own solutions.

Among the comments was one from Amy Jamieson, stating: “Micellar water also works!”

Sophia Smith concurred: “Yeh micellar water is fab for it too.”

Megan expressed her amazement with, “Wow this is genius,” and @kayleighcullen0 joined in by asking: “Why have we never thought of this?”

Dani praised the ingenuity: “Honestly girls are the smartest people to ever exist.”

For those pesky fake tan stains on toilet seats, Alice recommended The Pink Stuff Miracle Cleaning Paste. Customers can pick up an 850g tub of the said paste for a mere £1.50 at Tesco.
