TOWIE’s Pete Wicks and his Strictly dance partner Jowita Przysta have been stirring up romance rumours with their undeniable chemistry on Strictly’s It Takes Two.

While chatting with host and ex-Strictly pro Janette Manrara, the duo opened up about their journey on the BBC dance competition and their growing bond. Pete expressed his unexpected joy in participating.

He said: “I am absolutely loving it and I never thought I would be because I didn’t think this was really my thing. I’m not a dancer.”

He continued to share his enthusiasm for learning: “I don’t think I have rhythm. But what I am loving is the whole learning experience and that the bit that is most exciting for me, in the rehearsal room with Jowita. It’s my favourite bit because I’m a bit geeky and I love to learn something that’s really and utterly new to me, it makes me really happy,” reports the Express.

Turning to Jowita during the interview, Pete affectionately remarked: “And she makes me really happy every day.” Janette responded to the sweet exchange with: “Aw, you guys. This is cute!”

The pair’s spark hasn’t gone unnoticed by viewers either, with one fan commenting on social media: “The electricity between Pete and Jowita is palpable.” Another added: “Pete and Jowita have the best chemistry of any couple this series by far.”

Pete has also been vocal about his admiration for Jowita on his podcast Staying Relevant, which he co-hosts with close friend and I’m A Celeb champ Sam Thompson. He lavished praise on his dance partner: “Jowita is just – I could not have got a better partner,” he enthused.

When pressed by Sam for more details, Pete confessed: “I can’t sit here and go ‘she’s my life’ – we don’t know each other that well. But what I do know is that she makes me feel good.

“And that is really important and hopefully I make her feel good and that’s a really nice place to be, you know what I mean?”

Despite the evident connection between Pete and Jowita, their Paso Doble performance to The Prodigy’s Firestarter didn’t quite win over the judges. They ended up with a score of 17 out of 40, sharing the second-lowest spot with Paul Merson and Karen Hauer.

In contrast, TV and music icon Toyah Willcox and her dance partner Neil Jones found themselves at the bottom of the leaderboard after scoring just 12 points for their Tango.

Strictly Come Dancing available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
