Tools worth £50,000, 800 litres of diesel and 300m of copper cable have been stolen from a Greengairs landfill site.
The “high-value” theft occurred between 2pm on Sunday and 7am yesterday.
Detective Constable Craig Hartley told Lanarkshire Live: “Our enquiries into this significant theft are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who may have seen or heard anything unusual at the time to come forward.
“If you saw anything unusual or suspicious in the area, including any suspicious vehicles, please contact police immediately.
“Additionally, we encourage anyone with dash-cam footage or other relevant information to reach out, as it could be crucial to our investigation.”
