Beauty fans with a keen eye for a bargain will want to visit the middle aisle of Aldi as the store revealed it’s selling a £6.99 beauty product similar to a £58 luxury version. The new Lacura whipped moisturiser is said to emulate Drunk Elephant’s lala retro whipped cream – a skincare staple praised by reality star Khloe Kardashian.
Formulated with essential oils and a ceramide complex, the new addition hits shelves alongside returning favourites such as the microdermabrasion scrub, glycolic exfoliating treatment and intensive eye cream.
Aldi said: “Aldi’s health and beauty brand, Lacura, is set to welcome a brand-new skincare must-have, the whipped moisturiser (£6.99, 50ml) to its dermatologically tested line up.” The moisturiser is now on sale but is only available whilst stocks last.
According to Aldi the “luxurious” facial cream is packed with six essential oils and ceramides – and “hailed by skincare experts due to its anti-inflammatory qualities and ability to strengthen the skin barrier”.
“Rich whilst still offering a lightweight texture, this cream is the perfect everyday moisturiser, providing an instant hydration boost whilst also minimising the look of fine lines and wrinkles,” Aldi said.
“What’s more, priced at just £6.99, shoppers can save 87 percent (£51.01) when switching from Drunk Elephant’s lala retro whipped cream – loved by A-lister Khloe Kardashian, who claims it’s a perfect base for make-up.”
This is not the first time Lacura products have been compared to that of luxury brand Drunk Elephant. Lacura’s multi-peptide moisturiser (£6.99), which is also returning to shelves, is said to resemble the Drunk Elephant protini polypeptide cream, priced at £61.
And the smoothing glycolic body lotion by Lacura costs £4.99 from Aldi, while the Drunk Elephant lotion costs £28.
Alongside the arrival of the whipped moisturiser the supermarket is also returning a selection of fan favourite products, designed to brighten, restore and rejuvenate the skin, including the:
- Lacura vitamin C and turmeric oil (£5.99, 30ml)
- Lacura microdermabrasion scrub (£3.99, 100ml)
- Lacura glycolic exfoliating treatment (£5.99, 30ml)
- Lacura intensive eye cream (£3.99, 15ml)
- Lacura multi-peptide moisturiser (£6.99, 50ml).
Aldi’s Lacura whipped moisturiser and premium skincare range will be available in stores while stocks last.
