WELCH W.Va. -Moving to McDowell County, with all the necessary prep-work complete,
The City of Welch is kicking off this year’s Coaltown Fall Festival.
Wednesday is the festival’s official kick-off.
To be held at Martha Moore Park in downtown Welch.
This is the fourth year this celebration has taken place with this year’s event promising to be fun for the entire family.
There’s going to be carnival rides alongside food vendors, live music, and karaoke.
Along with a firework show on Saturday to wrap everything up.
Welch Mayor Harold McBride tells…us he’s excited for the weekend of festival fun, adding that anyone from Welch & the surrounding areas are invited to attend.
“This is something for people to have fun. You just must have fun. This is a great way to do it, you know you can have some good food, try some different things and the kids can have a blast at the carnival. plenty of good crafts to look at “
Now depending on the weather, the carnival is slated to kick off Wednesday evening with Thursday and Friday’s events scheduled to take place between 5pm & 10pm before wrapping up on Saturday.
For the final day, things begin at 10 am and go on until 10 pm with the big fireworks finale.
