Eamonn Holmes’ new girlfriend Katie Alexander is said to be already taking their relationship to a new level, with reports claiming she’s called him her ‘soulmate’ and plans on moving in with him.
The GB News presenter, 64, has already been pictured on a romantic luxury holiday with the relationship counsellor, 42, just months after his divorce from Ruth Langsford.
And it’s been claimed that as well as planning more trips away together, their relationship is growing stronger and they’re even looking at homes together.
One source claimed: ‘Katie is telling everyone she is totally smitten and in love.
‘They’ve known each other for nine years, so this isn’t a fly-by-night relationship – she’s in it for the long haul.’
It’s also reported that, after Loose Women star Ruth allegedly removed the stairlift from her former home with Eamonn, the new couple are ‘now looking at places to move into together’ and want to move back to Eamonn’s hometown of Belfast.
The insider added to Heat magazine: ‘Katie was there with his family a few weeks ago, and she reassured them she’s in it for keeps.
‘She says Eamonn is her soulmate and true love, and she wants to love and care for him – especially as he’s in such a bad way with his legs and back, and can’t walk properly without assistance.’
This comes after reports that their first trip away together has sparked plans for the future, with a source telling The Sun: ‘Eamonn’s lined up lots more cruises with Katie for the near future. It’s become something they’re both really looking forward to.
‘Katie absolutely loves cruises and Eamonn used to say that Ruth was never one for travel. She didn’t enjoy going away and never liked going on a boat or a plane.’
They added: ‘Now, with Katie, Eamonn feels he can really embrace that side of life again. He’s eager to make up for the years he felt he missed out on.’
Eamonn, who has been dealing with health issues in recent years after undergoing back surgery and suffering from chronic pain, was pictured in a wheelchair while on holiday with Katie earlier this month.
The former This Morning star slipped three discs in his back in 2021, losing ‘full mobility’, and has spoken about his chronic pain and difficulty walking.
He recently said he was on ‘borrowed time’ and that he was ‘not OK’, with Ruth saying weeks before their split that he ‘might never be 100% right’.
Ruth, 64, has said little about parting ways with Eamonn or his new relationship, but it was claimed that she was shocked over his holiday with Katie, who he reportedly first met on social media in 2015.
It’s also been said that Ruth is ‘distracting herself and doing things that make her happy’ and is ‘partying through the pain’ as she gets through it.
The former couple split earlier this year after 14 years of marriage, with reports stating work commitments had resulted in them drifting in ‘different directions’.
