Bloodsuckers are set to hit Glasgow as the city takes centre stage for a new vampire drama filming next month.

The production company behind smash hits like Breaking Bad and The Walking Dead, AMC Studios, will be descending upon Glasgow to shoot scenes for their new six-part series, Talamasca, airing in the US.

Part of the Anne Rice franchise, both Glasgow and Manchester cities will see action from October through February 2025.

For the perfect shot, Bothwell Street is slated for a temporary transformation, with its closure planned for one day. Businesses and local commuters are bracing for disruption on Saturday, October 12 and Sunday, October 13, as traffic flow changes and certain streets around are blocked off, reports Glasgow Live.

Local establishments have been notified, with traffic management prepped to handle road diversions. Meanwhile, Glasgow City Council gears up to juggle parking bay arrangements, making room for the fleet of essential production vehicles.

Communicating their intentions via letter, the team from Talamasca expressed gratitude: “We would like to take this opportunity to thank you in advance for your co-operation while we plan the forthcoming shoot. We are working closely with Glasgow Film Office and Glasgow City Council roads department and they are supportive of our scheduled activity”.
