Katie Price has adopted a rare animal after she admitted she was forced to put down her five-month-old kitten of the same breed.
There have been calls to ban the former glamour model from owning pets due to multiple animal deaths in her care
Over the past six years, Katie has announced the deaths of five dogs, a horse, and even a heartbroken chameleon named Marvin.
However, despite thousands signing a petition and an offer of £5,000 to stop her from becoming an animal owner, the OnlyFans creators has a new addition.
Katie revealed her ‘new little girl’, a sphynx kitten named Daisy on her Instagram last night. The pedigree breed is worth around £8,000.
In her memoir This Is Me, the Mucky Mansion star wrote in July she had to put her sphynx kitten named Frog to sleep after he developed an incurable neurological disease.
Katie also addressed the horrific death of puppy Rolo, a French Bulldog, who she had given to Princess, 17, for her 13th birthday.
A week later the pup was crushed under an electric armchair.
As well as Rolo’s death, Katie’s dog Queenie was run over by a pizza delivery van, while in February 2020, her Alsatian Sparkle was hit by a car.
One of her horses had also been killed in a crash at this time, meanwhile Marvin the chameleon is sad to have died of a broken heart when Junior, 19, went to live elsewhere.
Her German Shepherd, Blade, died last year after being hit by a car, months after her other dog Sharon met the same fate.
To replace Blade, Katie then adopted another Alsatian named Tank, who the Mucky Mansion star appeared to hit in a video that prompted widespread backlash.
It was later claimed she had given Tank away to her electrician just months after getting him.
A petition to ban Katie from owning any further pets has been slowly gaining signatures since 2020 when Rolo’s death was revealed.
Peta even said it would pay the former glamour model £5,000 in exchange for signing a legally binding agreement promising never to acquire another animal.
In response to the open letter, Katie’s rep told the MailOnline: ‘Kate has asked Peta many times to have a conversation with her directly, but instead they continue to play the narrative out in the media.
‘If they want to have a direct conversation with Kate they can get in touch. Isn’t it a waste of charity money or have they got funds available to give out to celebrities, which should be going towards animals?’
Last month, the latest hearing related to Katie’s bankruptcies was adjourned so she could attend a ‘private interview’ over her finances.
She was first declared bankrupt in 2019, and in February this year was ordered to pay 40% of her monthly income from the adult entertainment website OnlyFans until February 2027 to help pay off her debts.
Katie was then declared bankrupt for a second time in March over an unpaid tax bill worth more than £750,000.
She was arrested at Heathrow Airport in August after an arrest warrant was issued in July for failing to attend a previous court date.
