A Strictly Come Dancing celebrity might be facing a bit of a challenge this week. On Wednesday’s It Takes Two, BBC fans got a glimpse of the celebs practising for their next performances.

Pete Wicks and his dance partner Jowita Przysta were spotted rehearsing their American Smooth for this Saturday night.

However, after watching Pete in action, concerns started to surface amongst the viewers.

Social media quickly buzzed with viewer reactions, with some criticising his posture in the glimpses of rehearsals shared on Twitter.

One viewer commented: “Oh dear Pete looks terrible in rehearsals.”

Agreeing, another person wrote: “Hmmm I just said that lol. Chris by far looking the best from what we’ve seen. Think Montell and Sarah will be great as well.

Someone else added: “Pete’s American Smooth isn’t looking good at all…”

While one viewer said: “Pete’s frame is looking very awkward.”

Jowita revealed to the audience that they would concentrate more on technique in the coming days.

A behind-the-scenes look at practice showed Pete stumbling over steps as he said: “” know nothing about American Smooth other than it’s really difficult! Even just doing the frame hurts me.”

Pete added: “The steps are confusing, it’s like building a house, isn’t it? I’m trying to lay foundations because if I don’t the whole house is going to crumble on a Saturday night, isn’t it? I’ll need Nick (Knowles) to rebuild it.”

Pete and Jowita’s first performance didn’t quite hit the mark, earning them a total of 17 points from the judges, reports the Express.

As a result, they’re currently tied for 14th place on the leaderboard with Paul Merson and Karen Hauer, who received the same score.

Strictly Come Dancing continues this Saturday on BBC One from 6:15pm and Strictly: It Takes Two airs weeknights on BBC Two from 6pm
