A Married At First Sight UK star is about to leave viewers sobbing, after breaking down and recalling her new husband’s cruel comments about her body.
Bride Emma met her spouse Caspar at the altar for the reality dating series, but it appeared he wasn’t that impressed, and their first few days together didn’t go down too well.
Just a few hours after saying ‘I do’, the 34-year-old head gardener declared: ‘I fancy parts of her, but not all of her.’
He later told her he didn’t find her ‘sexy’ while they were on their honeymoon, shattering her confidence and leaving her in tears, hitting back with: ‘I’m a size 14, I’mnot a f**king monster.’
They’ve since returned home, but their relationship has crumbled even further with Caspar moving out.
In an exclusive clip ahead of tonight’s episode, Emma, 31, breaks down in tears explaining how she’s been feeling over Caspar’s comments to the experts.
‘On the first night, Caspar said, “Well I don’t find you attractive because I don’t find curvy girls attractive,’ Emma begins.
The other couples, especially the women in the room, are left absolutely stunned and appalled.
Emma goes on: ‘It was a bit of a shock to me, because I’m very confident, I’m hardly an ogre, I’m a normal girl and I wear that.
‘I’m never going to be skinny, never will be, love a wine, love a crisp.’
She says: ‘I woke up the next day, and I imagined my f**king friends hearing that, putting so much into this process for my husband to turn around to me and say that he’s not finding my attractive because he doesn’t find curvy girls attractive.’
Breaking down into tears, Emma recalls when Caspar told her he didn’t find her sexy, even when she felt ‘a million bucks in my wedding dress’.
‘I got a bit f**king fierce the next day,’ she adds, saying: ‘My friends wouldn’t stand for that. And then Caspar stormed off and moved out.’
This comes after Caspar was slammed by viewers for his comments on their honeymoon.
After a trip to a waterpark, Emma declared that she was ‘confident’ for ‘a girl that’s never been skinny’.
‘As long as I am happy, healthy and fit, I can eat crisps and drink wine,’ the investment sales manager added, continuing: ‘I’m surrounded by people that bring you up, and that’s really important.’
Caspar had a very different take though, telling the camera: ‘She’s a very positive person, very confident in herself and in her body, but the first time I’m seeing Emma in a bikini, I’m not feeling the sexual sparks that I was hoping to feel.
‘Liking a more petite woman generally is something that I’ve always fancied, more than curves, that’s just my preference.’
That evening, he took it upon himself to voice those shocking thoughts to Emma’s face, insisting he wanted to be ‘honest’.
‘I’ve been struggling,’ he began, continuing: ‘I haven’t felt that spark I was hoping to feel.’
He went on to say Emma reminded him of his sister, and when she asked him about his ‘usual type’, replied: ‘This is really hard.’
Caspar continued: ‘I’ve rarely gone for a curvier person.’
‘Do you think I look sexy tonight?’ Emma replied, to which he said: ‘No.’
He added that he didn’t ‘currently’ fancy his wife.
‘If you didn’t think I was sexy in my f**king wedding dress, and you didn’t think I was sexy in my gorgeous bikini today, I don’t know what hope there is,’ she said, advising him to ‘look beyond that’ in the name of the experiment.
‘My personality, my confidence, should help you be more confident and you should see qualities bigger than my clothes size,’ she said.
‘You need to work on your view of women.’
The next day, Emma hit back at Caspar, standing up for herself after she’d been left in tears.
She sobbed to the camera: ‘It’s a shame that I’m not attractive to the person I’ve married, he struggled so much to say that I looked beautiful last night when actually I felt good.’
‘Poorly phrased,’ she told Caspar of his comments, adding: ‘I’m a size 14, I’m not a f**king monster.’
He meanwhile claimed he was being ‘attacked in paradise’, before asking the cameras to stop filming.
‘I don’t know if we can move past this, I want love and it’s nowhere f**king close.’
Caspar’s comments have left viewers outraged, with @charlottes1993 writing: ‘Calling your wife unsexy- Caspar is a D**K.’
‘Caspar, you absolute thundec**t,’ @lulubaker agreed.
@kevwgs said: ‘Caspar, just go home and stop wasting Emma’s time. She deserves so much better. Disgraceful behaviour.’
‘oh Caspar Shut UP!’ @liv_liv_liv wrote.
@dagiye said: ‘I don’t think Caspar has much experience dating women because he doesn’t know how to talk to one. He will deffo regret how he handled the whole thing. Silly boy.’
‘And this is why you’re single, Caspar dear,’ @Katy2022_ wrote.
Others praised Emma for how she handled the situation, calling her ‘gorgeous’ and a ‘legend’ for her response.
Despite hoping that their situation would be ‘different’, Caspar later told Emma that he wanted to ‘make this work’, with his wife agreeing: ‘I think we both sometimes don’t think before we speak.’
Saying they were learning to compromise moving forward, the new couple agreed they were ‘willing to work’ and progress through their challenges.
‘Hopefully find the love we’re looking for, that’s why we’re here,’ Caspar said.
‘I’m not going away,’ he reassured Emma, as she told cameras she was still hoping for ‘a snog by the end of it’.
This comes after Caspar was branded a ‘red flag’ at his wedding, when he compared his 31-year-old wife to his sister, saying they were both ‘strong-minded and strong-willed.’
His comments about his sister sparked some concern, as he was branded a ‘red flag’.
As Caspar’s sister gushed over Emma, saying she was ‘his height, blonde, curvy, beautiful face,’ the groom turned to his new sister-in-law, commenting on how he knew his wife and sister would get along from the start.
He then said: ‘Daisy’s the only person in my life who drives me around the f**king bend.
‘She’s the one person in my life who, if you want to see me angry, it can take her under 30 seconds to drive me up the wall.’
Caspar added that ‘very little’ else makes him angry, but his harsh comments left him labelled a ‘red flag’.
Emma’s sister then confessed her worries that the new couple could ‘clash’ because they were too ‘similar’.
‘It’s actually quite scary,’ she said.
As the camera returned to the party, Caspar told Emma’s sister: ‘Your sister is not a shrinking violet.’
He added to the camera: ‘Emma’s got personality traits that are very similar to my sister’s.’
‘I don’t know,’ he sighed.
