Coldplay’s presale tickets for their much-anticipated 2025 UK tour are hitting the market today via Ticketmaster, and fans are lauding the band for shunning “dynamic pricing”.

Dynamic pricing is a strategy where ticket prices vary based on demand, leading to frequent changes and potentially sky-high costs for sought-after performances. Oasis faced backlash when the cost of their standard tickets soared from £148 to £355 due to this contentious pricing tactic.

Ticketmaster has confirmed that Coldplay’s upcoming tickets will not be subject to “dynamic pricing”. This comes as a sigh of relief for supporters, especially after such pricing was implemented for the group’s August 2022 gigs at Manchester’s Etihad Stadium.

The Ticketmaster website update for the 2025 tour states: “All ticket prices for these concerts are fixed at the advertised rate.”

General admission standing tickets for Coldplay are set at £110.00 each, with an additional £2.75 per order fee. Seating options range from £55.00 to £165.00 per ticket, plus the same order fee, excluding VIP and hotel packages,” reports the Mirror.

According to the site, an “extremely limited number” of Infinity Tickets will go on sale on Friday, November 22. These special tickets grant seats chosen by the event organiser, which could be anywhere in the venue, and are sold in pairs.

Prices are £46.75 for Hull Craven Park and £52.25 for London Wembley Stadium shows.

One fan took to X/Twitter to praise the band, saying: “Coldplay has been one of the only artists to turn off dynamic pricing and crack down on scalpers… if artists actually want fans to get a chance at and attend their shows, why is everyone not doing the same?”

Another chimed in with: “Coldplay showing how it should be done, fixed pricing so no dynamic pricing, offering some tickets at £20 and 10 percent of the gate goes back into local music venues. Fair play to them.”

Presale tickets for Coldplay were set to go on sale at 9am this morning (September 26), with general sale tickets being released at 9am tomorrow (September 27). Those who pre-ordered the new Coldplay album Moon Music from the Coldplay UK or EU Stores were automatically eligible for the presale.

Fans had until 11.59pm on Tuesday, September 24, to make the purchase.

Those who paid for the album ahead of the announcement were informed they had automatically qualified for the presale. Coldplay has announced that 50 percent of tickets for the Hull shows will go to local residents – and there will be a presale for those with a postcode beginning with HU, YO, DN or LN at 6pm today (September 26).

Tickets will be available on Ticketmaster tomorrow (Friday) rom 9am here.
