Eddie Hearn and Simon Jordan have renewed hostilities with the latter labelling the top boxing promoter as a “fool”.

In the wake of last weekend’s heavyweight showdown between Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois at Wembley, talkSPORT pundit and broadcaster Jordan accused Hearn and fellow promoter Frank Warren of “bullying” BOXXER chief Ben Shalom, who has emerged as the UK’s third promotional entity in the last two years after teaming up with Sky Sports.

Hearn and Warren have both hit back at Jordan’s comments and claim that his defence of Shalom and BOXXER stem from his own personal business interest in the promotional company. Hearn also stated that Jordan had “begged” to try and set up a meeting with Saudi royal advisor and Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority, Turki Al-Sheikh – who has spearheaded the Middle Eastern power’s venture into boxing – only for it not to happen.

But taking to social media on Thursday, former Crystal Palace chairman Jordan angrily refuted Hearn’s assertion and clarified what really happened with Turki Al-Sheikh. He wrote on X: “Honestly this man’s a fool! Never once asked for a meeting with anyone in Saudi.

“Ironically I was asked to meet them on Monday Sept 16 and I couldn’t make it. They then said next day, I tried to re arrange meetings they then said they can’t make it.”

Hours later, Hearn responded to Jordan’s comments via his own X account and offered to appear with the broadcaster once again live on talkSPORT and that he would ‘take him to school’. He wrote: “Pipe down or I will have to come in and school you again”, followed by a winking emoji.
