The woman was found unconscious and was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
AUSTIN, Texas — Firefighters in Pflugerville rescued an elderly woman from a burning house on Wednesday evening.
Firefighters with Travis County Emergency Service District (ESD) No. 2 were called to the home located in the Villages of Hidden Lake near Lake Pflugerville just before 6 p.m. When they arrived, they found an unconscious woman on the second floor of the residence surrounded by heavy smoke.
Medics rushed the woman to the hospital in serious condition. A child was also in the house at the time of the fire, but was able to get out without being hurt.
