Prince Andrew, who has been “Ejected”, will continue to be a story regardless of his next steps, but he won’t be able to redeem himself, according to a PR expert.

Following the release of A Very Royal Scandal, which focuses on the events leading up to and following Prince Andrew’s notorious Newsnight interview with Emily Maitlis, Royal commentators have speculated about the implications for the Royal Family.

Mark Borkowski, a PR guru, believes the royals aren’t worried about the three-part series as they’ve taken a strong stance to distance themselves from him.

He commented: “I really don’t think that causes any headaches for the royal family any longer. There’s nothing to redeem there, particularly when he’s been ejected.”

Regarding what he thinks would be best for the disgraced royal, he suggested: “I think he just needs to carry on playing golf and driving his cars around the estate and whatever.”, reports the Scottish Daily Express.

Mark also mentioned that while there’s “no way” anyone would consider Andrew for work, he could potentially do “something very subtle”, like charity work.

“But, he needs to be, that’s the problem for himself, he needs to back in the fold,” the PR expert added.

“And, all he’s doing is trying to knock on a bolted door that will never reopen for him.”

While speaking on The Sun’s Royal Exclusive podcast, Mark highlighted the “problem” Andrew faces following the allegations against him.

He stated: “The problem all of these people have is, whatever they do to try and rehabilitate themselves, it’s a story.”

“And, as soon as it’s a story, everybody is looking at whether to see if that’s going to fail or succeed.”

The PR expert also reckons that the public has grown “bored” of the Prince Andrew saga, especially since the interview was previously dramatised in Netflix’s Scoop.

Prince Andrew has consistently denied any wrongdoing in the Jeffrey Epstein scandal.

He reached an out-of-court settlement with Virginia Roberts Giuffre, who accused Andrew of sexual assault and filed a civil case against him. The settlement did not constitute an admission of guilt, and he did not accept any liability.

The father-of-two has subsequently been stripped of his HRH status, lost his military titles and patronages, and has withdrawn from public Royal duties.

Recent reports suggest that King Charles III is keen for his brother to vacate the Royal Lodge and has proposed several alternative residences.

Latest updates indicate that the King has given Andrew an “ultimatum”, stressing the need for him to address the situation promptly.
