Sickening footage has shown the moment two men were brutally battered and kicked in the head during a violent street brawl.
A police probe has been launched into the shocking incident, which unfolded in Irvine, Ayrshire, on Tuesday evening.
The drama on the town’s high street, saw one man repeatedly headbutted and stamped on, mere seconds after another man had also been booted in the face.
The vicious assault has left a 43-year-old man in hospital, where he remains in a serious condition.
The footage, which has been shared widely after being posted on Snapchat, shows four men and a woman on the pavement outside an Iceland branch
The clip starts with a man wearing a blue hoody, with his hood up, repeatedly kicking a man in the head as he lies on the ground near a doorway.

He then grabs the man by the neck and repeatedly headbutts him, causing his own cap to fall off. The pair fall to the ground with the victim’s head smashing into the cobbles, leaving him lying motionless on the concrete.
The second attacker then bends down to pick up his cap, as the hooded man runs up and kicks the second victim on the side of the head as he lies on the ground.
