BLUEFIELD, W.Va. – In this article, WVVA will update the power outage numbers according to PowerOutage.us. The numbers are liable to change, and when they do this article will be updated as soon as possible. The most updated times will be posted at the bottom of this article.

The numbers below are reported power outages by county.

  • Mercer County: 21
  • Wyoming County: 948
  • McDowell County: 253
  • Mingo County: 401
  • Logan County: 18
  • Raleigh County: 47
  • Summers County: 434
  • Monroe County: 821
  • Greenbrier County: 141
  • Fayette County: 69

In Virginia:

  • Bland County: 330
  • Giles County: 55
  • Tazewell County: 24
  • Buchanan County: 187

Appalachian Power said their crews are looking over the damage from the storms and are preparing for possible power outages because of continued weather and Hurricane Helene.

As of 10:35 a.m., 6,262 people are without power in West Virginia.
