Two 14-year-old boys have been charged in connection with the serious assault of a teenager in East Kilbride.
Police say at around 5.10pm on Friday, September 20 officers were alerted to an incident in Heathery Knowe near to the Murray Square.
Emergency services rushed to the scene and a 15-year-old boy was treated for serious injuries.
Two 14-year-old boys were arrested and charged in relation to the incident.
A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal and Children’s Reporter.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 5.10pm on Friday, September 20, we were called following a serious assault in the Heathery Knowe area of East Kilbride.
“Emergency services attended and a 15-year-old boy was taken to hospital for treatment.
“Two 14-year-olds have since been arrested and charged in connection and a report sent to Procurator Fiscal and Children’s Reporter.”
