Dumfries Harriers Gordon Stewart and Donna Davidson made the trip up to Falkirk to take part in the inaugural Kelpies Half Marathon on Sunday.

Impressively both runners were doing their second half marathon in a week after running and bagging PBs in Dumfries Half Marathon.

Gordon Stewart put in a very impressive shift completing the course in 1.32.06, taking home yet another PB. He said: “I really enjoyed running over the two bridges today especially the Kincardine Bridge. I do love a bridge so to get two in was a real bonus.”

Donna Davidson crossed the line in an outstanding 1.47.12 and was very pleased with her new PB, commenting: “I never look at the course beforehand so its always a surprise on the day.”As I was running I actually wondered if the Kelpies have names.”

The Harriers meet every Tuesday and Thursday at 6pm at the David Keswick Athletic Centre and welcome runners of all ages and abilities.
