The Kardashians stars descended on the French capital this week to attend the Schiaparelli show on Thursday night.
Walking into the event with photographers and fans swarming, Kylie, 27, literally turned heads as she strutted along in a very demure black dress that clung to her figure like clingfilm. Her tiny waist was more than noticeable in the corset-style dress as Kylie made the smallest of movements to pivot and wave to fans.
Kylie shared photos of her outfit to Instagram sparking a debate about her controversial fashion choice.
Her best pal Jordyn Woods complimented the cosmetics mogul and said: ‘That waist is absolutely missing,’ while follower JorgeDavidRP praised: ‘Waist ate.’
However, others accused Kylie of projecting unrealistic body image standards for other women.
A comment from Bliss Nail Bar and Beauty Lounge said: ‘Her waist looks so unnatural.’
Idris Kuman agreed: ‘This looks so bizarre and unhealthy.’
When Kylie’s sister Khloe Kardashian asked ‘Are you ok?’ Fresh Sundayz replied: ‘Probably not. her waist is probably hurting.’
At the event, Kendall, 28, also showed off her svelte figure in a white corset which seemed to be restricting her movement.
The sisters aren’t the only members of the family who have modelled corsets in recent years, as their older sibling Kim Kardashian has courted backlash for wearing the age-old style.
The Skims boss, 43, arrived at this year’s Met Gala in a metallic Maison Margiela corset which cinched her waist in to within an inch of it’s life. However, she was slammed for promoting unattainable standards of beauty as it even appeared to be a struggle for Kim to breathe at times.
‘Good this should be a telltale sign that she is NOT the direction we should be going in for beauty and fashion,’ cowboylikejonah commented at the time on social media.
Kim’s hourglass figure was also a talking point at the Met Gala in 2022 when she wore an iconic Marilyn Monroe dress after embarking on an extreme diet to lose weight to fit into the sheer gown.
In August, Kylie opened up about how she struggled to reclaim confidence in her body after two pregnancies with children Stormi, six, and Aire, two, left her weight fluctuating.
Speaking to British Vogue, she explained: ‘I was 200 pounds when I gave birth to my 9-pound babies: 8.3 and 8.9. I finally lost all the baby weight after my daughter and then got pregnant with my son two months later. And I felt in shape and it was working out, and then I got pregnant and did it all over again.’
The reality star added: ‘I feel like people didn’t give me, or give women in general, enough empathy. I see pictures [online] and people are accusing me of being on drugs or something…
‘I’m back at my weight I was before I had my daughter and son, and people are putting side by sides of me three months postpartum. I’m like: “Does everyone forget that I had two children and I gained 60 pounds both pregnancies?”’
